Manager Job Description

The Joint Mount Vernon (JointMV) is seeking Managers who enjoy fast-paced, exciting, quick service restaurant work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by building relationships through table touches, enthusiastic greetings and warm farewells. Encourage employees to build those same strong relationships. Resolve customer complaints and/or service deficiencies by listening to the guest, responding with sincerity and using established service recovery tools. Communicate with Management team to analyze trends and employee performance.
  •  Make sure the restaurant is in compliance with the Health Department Regulations and Standards. Knowledge of those rules and regulations. Maintaining at least a Level 1 Ohio Certification in Food Protection.
  • Maximize employee moral through leading by example in embodying The Joint culture. Provide the tools, guidance and support needed to enable all employees to deliver the highest guest service.  
  • Must have a positive and professional interaction and relationship with all management team members.
  • Consistently demonstrate excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Assist co-workers as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (or similar programs).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years high-volume Food & Beverage experience.
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience.
  • Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Must be reliable and conscientious.
  • Possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff.
  • Must be accuracy and detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to act quick and exercise good judgement under pressure and/or conflict situations.
